According to this legend, Lord Krishna who was the head of Yadav clan had foretold Arjuna that a remote descendent of the Yadav clan would mark his kingdom on the Trikuta Hill. His prophecy turned true. The city of Jaisalmer was founded in 1156 by Rawal Jaisal, a Bhatti Rajput King (Bhattis are descendents of the Moon dynasty whose origin is traced to Lord Krishna).

This beautiful splendour in the middle of the Thar Desert is the City of Jaisalmer. It still dazzles in the glory of the past and each day it marks a beautiful beginning with golden view in the early morning.
